The Job Fox and O'Hare Janet Evanovich Lee Goldberg 9780804179898 Books

The Job is the 3rd book of con man Nick Fox & FBI agent Kate O'Hare. Their back together to bring down drug lord Lester Menendez.

This book is written in same style as previous books in the series. The witty back and forth between the characters, funny dialogue and fast moving pace. The supporting characters, from the previous books, also return.

What I truly enjoy about this book and series is the dialogue between the characters. I am always laughing throughout book at the dry sense of humor and situations that the characters find themselves in. How they go about going after their mark. Also, we are taken to different cities all over the world and what I like is the details on each specific city the characters are in. Feels like we're really there.

This book along with the previous books, is hard to put down.  I almost read entire book in 1 sitting.  It's a stand alone book so not necessary to read previous books, but, their also 5 star books as well. There is small mentions of what occurred in the prior books in The Job.

The Fox & O'Hare series is my favorite thriller/suspense books, and always look forward to the next book.

I most definitely recommend this book and the series to those who enjoy mystery/thriller books. Will not be disappointed.

The Job Fox and O'Hare Janet Evanovich Lee Goldberg 9780804179898 Books Reviews

Even better than the last two! I love having a little bit of suspense without being scary...books affect my emotions too much for the thrillers, so this was just right. I love how the books in this series go through a few different plotlines within each book while still being cohesive. The Fox and O'Hare series is my favorite from Janet Evanovich. Anytime she collaborates with Lee Goldberg, it's gold.
Scott Brick provided an excellent reading of this book, using Turkish, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Manchester accents. I liked hearing the street names and other items in the various countries pronounced correctly.

The authors took Fox and O'Hare from the United States to Turkey, Germany, and France in order to discover the identity of Nick's imposter, Serena Blake. Then their work creating a con to bring down a vicious drug lord, Lester Menedez aka Demetrio Violante (a truly violent person) began.

Using people from previous take-downs (Boyd Capwell, Willie Owens, and Tom Underhill) and Kate's father, Jake, they added new members to the team Rodney Smoot, a special effects magician; Billy Dee Snipes, a man who helped Jake in Somalia and who sleeps with a machete; and Barnacle Bob, master of their ship's engine.

Nick and Kate were up against some tough people. Violence seen on-screen is graphic, but the authors' descriptions of the violent actions throughout the book were given in vivid detail, befitting each situation.

The relationships between the characters were interesting to follow and added a lot to the story.

I have already reserved my copy of their next adventure.
The Fox and O'Hare books are adventurous, action packed and extremely entertaining! I always enjoy reading these books. This book is no exception. You'll find a full cast of unique characters who assist Nick Fox and FBI agent O'Hare in the capture of the world's most heinous villains. The "con" is always on in these books with Nick's planning and O'Hare's protection guiding the reader as well as one another through another fun, high flying adventure. Want to escape the real world for a few hours? Read this book!
This is one of a series of books involving FBI agent Kate O'Hare partnered with a wanted con man criminal Nick Fox. It is a farce type of novel that seems to be more outlandish than the typical suspense crime story. I didn't like it and was glad when I finished it. I have read all of Janet Evanovich's other books and like all of them very much. The story in this book was just too ridiculous.
I really can't get enough of the Fox and O'Hare series. All three of the books I have read out of this collection have been captivating and fun to read. I would highly recommend to those who enjoy light thrillers. Also if you enjoy the television series, "White Collar," I think you would love this book collection, as it is similar in that there is a FBI handler who takes care of a master criminal as they both work to take down bad guys.

Thoroughly enjoyed "The Job." I'd say it held my interest in its entirety. And it even had me second guessing how I thought it would end. Of course I love Nick Fox and Kate O'Hare's characters, what's not to love. But also the supporting cast are great as in all of the books so far.
Evanovich never disappoint, love her style of writing . I enjoyed the Fox and o'hara series. Cannot put the book down . It involved an international con artist Fox that can steal anything he wants just for the fun of it and the agent o'hara f.b.i. Who chases him to capture him, she finally entrapped him . Then f.b.i. Offers him a deal for him to work for them unofficially to catch other criminal thieves by conning them. The good part is when 0'has a ends up with Fox as an partner to catch criminals. This is where the story gets entertaining reading how they accomplished their mission working together solving the top most wanted on f.b.i. List.
I was so enthralled with this story I could not put it down. An adventure through so many countries with two exciting, snarky and interesting characters. An elaborate con to steal twenty-five million dollars from an international drug thief and returning priceless art work to museums across many countries could only be planned by one person, the cunning sophisticated mind of Nick Fox and his equally talented F.B.I partner Kate.

A wonderful read for anyone who loves adventure , dangerous missions and a bit of flirtation should enjoy this book.
